Privacy Policy
Your data is not the product. Your consciousness is not for sale. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and what we don't do with it.
What We Collect
There are no accounts on this site, no sign-in, no newsletter, no comments, and nothing to buy. We collect only what running a public website produces.
How We Use Your Information
- To keep the site running: serving pages and protecting the site from automated abuse.
- To see what is read: understanding which work resonates, in aggregate.
- To respond to you: when you contact us.
What we don't do:
- Sell your data to anyone, ever
- Use your information for targeted advertising
- Share your information with social media platforms
- Build behavioral profiles
Data Protection
The site is a set of static pages served over encrypted connections (SSL/TLS) from Cloudflare. There is no account database, because there are no accounts.
No system is impenetrable, but the strongest protection here is structural: we don't collect what we don't need.
Your Rights
The only personal information we hold is what you send us by email. You may, at any time:
To exercise any of these rights, email support@theallunknowing.danielryancurtis.com. We honor these rights for all readers, regardless of where you live.
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own.
- Your browser keeps your reading position and any display preferences locally, on your device.
- Cloudflare may set a security cookie while it protects the site from automated traffic.
- Embedded videos load only when you press play, and use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or retargeting pixels.
Third-Party Services
- Cloudflare: hosts and delivers the site, protects it, and provides aggregate analytics.
- YouTube: some pages embed videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set tracking cookies unless you play the video.
- Podcast apps: if you subscribe to the podcast in an app, that app processes your listening under its own policy.
- Amazon: the printed book is sold by Amazon. Buying it happens on Amazon, under Amazon's policy.
Each service processes data under its own privacy policy. We choose services for necessity and privacy standards, not data harvesting.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will post the update here with a new date.
